Message from the Head Girl and Boy //

Head Girl - Nikkola Burnhope

I first joined Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, aged 11. I was awestruck, yet delighted to have discovered a place where I could be surrounded by people with the same enthusiasm and passion for the performing arts as myself. Any initial fears were quickly diminished as the whole school, pupils and staff included, made an incredible effort to make me feel at ease.

Tring Park, with its encouraging vocational teachers, patient academic staff and maternal House Staff, has prepared me to leave Tring not only with fantastic professional training and qualifications within my chosen field of Musical Theatre, but also the crucial academic results for the important fall back!

Being in the company of people training on courses other than your own, including Drama, Musical Theatre and Dance, makes conversation non-stop, and your vocational journey never ending! I have made some friends for life, and a loving support network like no other I have experienced before. I only hope I can do justice to my role as Head Girl; I am immensely proud and excited to take on the position!

Head Boy - Richard King

Leaving home at the age of 16 to join Tring Park was one of the biggest decisions of my life. But I can happily say it was also one of the best!

Coming from a “normal” school, I was quite nervous about boarding. However, the pupils and staff were so friendly and supportive that I settled in the first week.

The Musical Theatre Course is providing me with a strong all-round training; however I also gain a lot from my friends on the Dance and Drama courses who are constantly talking about new writers or choreographers. The vocational courses are the main reason for coming to Tring, but it is reassuring to know that we are also getting good academic results to help us pursue further training in the future.

I have made so many close friends, and share so many funny memories, that I know will stay with me once I have left Tring Park.

I am very proud to be this year’s Head Boy and look forward to another good year at Tring.
