Q. How do I find out details about auditions?
A. Preparation details are forwarded to applicants upon receipt of an audition application pack.

Q. What sort of funding is available for my child?
A. Information on Scholarships, Music and Dance Scheme and post 16 Dance and Drama Awards can be found under Admissions.

Q. Is there transport provided to and from the school for day pupils?
A. There are currently no arrangements for daily transport.

Q. Do you have educational trips?
A. Recent trips have included; Globe Theatre, Hampton Court Palace, National Army Museum in Chelsea, Imperial War Museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern, National Portrait Gallery, Black Country Museum, the local Buddhist Monastery, Living Rainforest, Henry Moore Museum, and Ypres - battlefields of First World War.

Q. What are the arrangements for prep?
A. Pupils in the Prep School have one hour of prep per day. Pupils aged 11-16 spend one and a quarter hours doing supervised prep in the evening. The Sixth Form have unsupervised prep in their study bedrooms and will also spend time during the day.

Q. How many exams do pupils take annually?
A. Two - at New Year and in the Summer term.

Q. How many reports do the parents receive?
A. Each pupil has two full written reports per year. In addition new pupils receive a grade report at their first half-term holiday.

Q. How many Parents' Consultations are there each year?
A. There is one official consultation, but we are happy to arrange meetings as required.

Q. What size are the classes?
A. Class sizes are 15-18 max.

Q. At what time should students return to House at the weekend?
A. Prep to Fifth Forms (Years 5-11) should return by 20:00. Sixth form students (Years 12-13) should return by 22:00 latest.

Q. At what time should students be collected for Exeat?
A. After classes - Juniors 16:30, Seniors 18:30 or as printed in the School calendar.

Q. At what time do students return to School after Exeat/Half Term?
A. Prep to Fifth Forms (Years 5-11) between 17:00 - 20:00. Sixth form students (Years 12-13) should return by 22:00 latest.

Q. Where do we buy school/vocational uniform?

Q. What time is assembly?
A. Monday to Friday at 08.05

Q. May I take my child out for supper during the week?
A. Yes. Juniors between 18:00 - 20:00, Seniors 18:30 - 20:30 and Sixth Form 18:30 - 22:00. Wednesdays are preferable as there is no senior prep.

Q. What if I need to take my child to a medical/hospital/dentist appointment in school time?
A. Permission must be obtained from the Principal in writing as far in advance as possible, or by the preceding Wednesday by noon.

Q. How many extra weekends is my child allowed apart from Exeat?
A. Preps (Years 5-7) may go home every Friday after classes. First-Fourth Form (Years 7-10) may take one 'chosen' weekend per term. Fifth Form (Year 11) may take two 'chosen' weekends per term. Sixth Form (Years 12-13) may go home each weekend after completion of school commitments.

Q. What if my child becomes unwell whilst at school?
A. The Sanatorium is open from 07:30 - 21:30 daily and house staff are on call 24 hours a day when on duty. The San Sisters will always call home to let you know of any problems. They will also make any decisions to send your child home (or to guardians) if deemed necessary.

Q. Is there a School Doctor?
A. We have an excellent medial team. Dr Sacca attends School twice weekly. There are four weekly physio sessions run by the Physiotherapy Team. We also have good connections with a local dentist, orthodontist, speech therapist, chiropodist and optician. The San Sisters are happy to make an appointment on your child's behalf, for these or any required hospital appointments. Escorts will be provided for all appointments if necessary.

Q. How does my child receive post?
A. Post or packages are passed to the House areas daily (including weekends) before lunch.

Q. How much tuck may we bring?
A. Tuck is always a welcome treat, but we do ask not to supply too much, at Tring Park we try to encourage a healthy eating attitude for life!
