It is vital that children have performing opportunities and learn to develop their own sense of creativity and choreography. The Junior Dance Show takes place in the Summer Term and gives pupils the opportunity to be showcased in our own Markova Theatre. Additionally, the pupils are encouraged to enter the Junior Choreography Competition that takes place at the end of the Summer Term to support them developing their creative skills.
Twice a year pupils are formally assessed in Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, and teachers give one-to-one feedback and support to their pupils. Additionally, each pupil has an annual meeting with the Director of Dance and their teacher, to assess progress and development and begin to plan future pathways.
Tring Park has a long association with English National Ballet Company and has been supplying young dancers for many of their productions and annually, the Nutcracker at the London Coliseum.
Pupils who require more one-to-one support can request additional private lessons in Ballet, Pilates and Alexander Technique.
For further information about the Junior Dance Course please contact Director of Dance, Rachel Rist at rachel.rist@tringpark.com or Tel. 01442 821665.
