Reach4Dance is our community outreach programme, which provides an opportunity to engage with dance and be inspired by positive role models, to those with limited access. We offer our knowledge and expertise to community and independent partner schools, aiming to inspire and ignite a spark of interest in every child. We also offer Days of Dance and special projects for keen young dancers who already participate in formal dance training. We aspire to encourage positive impressions, change misconceptions and raise the profile of dance for future audiences. Additionally, as we broaden our community networks, we endeavour to identify potential in our search for excellence, offering access to training and training scholarships.
Reach4Dance is constantly developing, and we seek to make our outreach programme an innovative front-runner amongst our competitors and a prolific generator of rewarding dance events..

Schools Performance Workshops.
Reach4Dance sixth form teams visit primary schools giving inspiring and educational performance workshops.
Extended Learning Projects.
Tring Park offers term-long, weekly classes and specialist tuition at partner schools. These include choreographic performance and creative projects, and specially devised work, such as our Tring Technique Awards in Jazz Dance, a special mini-syllabus for Key Stage 2. At the end of term, children demonstrate their learning to external assessors and can achieve certification.
We have also found that these projects are key to identifying outstanding pupils who may benefit from the free Reach4Dance scholars training scheme.
Days of Dance.
Individually designed days attract children who are already undertaking formal dance training. Each will offer specialist learning in one of a wide range of dance and musical theatre studies. Approximately seven days are offered per year.
Kick-Start Performance Factory for Boys.
We offer monthly training days specifically for boys aged 8-18. Three group classes, selected by age and aptitude, allow boys to work together, developing skills in ballet, jazz, contemporary dance, and singing. Male teachers are used where possible.
Secondary Schools’ Workshops.
We invite students studying dance related courses to visit once a term and participate in choreography workshops, technique or repertoire sessions and to attend open dress rehearsals.
Future projects
2009-10 will see the creation of a summer school project; a youth dance company project and new courses designed specifically for girls.
