About the Piano Fund //

Pianos and the School’s dedicated team of professional pianists play an extraordinarily important role in the life of Tring Park.  Quite simply, pianos impact on every student, vocational teacher and audience member connected to Tring Park and as a performing arts school we certainly could not function without them.

With the proposal for five new performance studios due to be completed in 2010, Tring Park now faces a pressing challenge to raise the funds to purchase new pianos for each of the five studios. The School’s aspiration is to buy two baby-grand pianos and three upright pianos with a requirement for them all to be of the best sound quality, which replicate the standards found in a professional theatre or dance company. The cost associated with this specification is in the region of £60,000 and to help us reach our target Tring Park has introduced a special Piano Fund including a 'Buy a Key' fundraising initiative. Contributing to the Piano Fund will enable the School to invest in new high-quality instruments which will benefit and inspire future generations of aspiring performers.

“At the heart of Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is an investment in the pianos that accompany, train and inspire our students. With the exciting development of new state-of-the-art performance studios due to be completed in 2010, it is absolutely essential that the School has the financial means to invest in instruments that match the quality of the new spaces and the talent and expectations of all who will benefit from them.”
