Gift Aid allows UK charities to reclaim the tax from Inland Revenue that you have already paid in tax (as a UK tax payer) when you made your donation. We can claim the tax back from the Inland Revenue and add it to the value of your gift to Tring Park School, which enables your donation to go further. For example, with a gift of £50 we would be able to reclaim an additional £12.50, which would bring the total value of your donation to £62.50, increasing your gift by 25%.
All donations made are eligible provided you qualify. To do so you must be a UK taxpayer and pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the tax Tring Park School is claiming back on your behalf.
To Gift Aid your donation you just need to complete the Gift Aid declaration on the
donation form which covers individual donations or a series of donations.
If you are a higher rate tax payer you can claim further tax relief on donations made under the Gift Aid scheme through your self-assessment tax return.
| Donation | Value to Tring Park inc. Gift Aid | Actual cost to a higher rate tax payer |

NB: In addition to above Gift Aid benefits, for any donations made between April 2008 and April 2011 the Government will pay the School an additional 3p on every £1 you give thereby increasing eligible donations by a total of 28%.
