Phoebe has secured a place at University of Cambridge to study Natural Sciences (biological) at Emmanuel College in September 2021. She still intends to dance professionally after finishing university!

Going into the Sixth Form Dance Course, I felt confident that the dance training would meet my expectations (which were, in fact, greatly exceeded) – I was not so sure that my passion for STEM would survive. On the contrary, the excellence of Tring’s Science and Maths departments meant that my interests only grew stronger. The academic staff go out of their way to help students, which assisted me in achieving two life goals – three A*s at A Level, and an unconditional offer to study Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. I had not planned to attend university until after a dance career, but the pandemic encouraged me to alter this timeline, and continue dancing as side venture while I get a degree and the arts industry gets back on its feet. I fully intend to dance professionally after my studies. I doubt there are many schools that can equip you to pursue a dance career with a Cambridge degree under your belt – I have Tring to thank for that being my future.
