Remembrance Sunday 2017

At the start of this term, we were greatly honoured to be asked as a school to contribute to the Remembrance Day Service.  Our theme was Coming Home.

Third Form pupils, Bella, Evie read from local First World War testimony and newspapers. Tally reminded us of the suffering of others when she did the Bible reading in French.  Sarah Bell shared the story of her husband's Great Uncle. Edgar Allen Bell died aged only 22; he returned home in 1917 gravely injured in France, needing his leg amputated.  However, despite this intervention, he died of wounds in the New Year of 1918.
