Tring Park Choir '16' on a world stage
In early July the Tring Park 16 competed, for the first time, at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. This highly respected and long-established festival has over 5,000 singers, dancers and instrumentalists from more than 50 countries and attracts an audience of over 50,000 during the six day event. We are delighted that the Tring Park chamber choir took third place in the category of choirs under the age of 25 and was the youngest choir in the section. First place was taken by the Stellenbosch University Choir and second place was NUS (University of Singapore) choir, who went on to win ‘Choir of the World’ on the Saturday evening. Stellenbosch won three categories over the two days – Youth Choir, Open Choir and Mixed Choir.
