Musical Theatre Course
An intensive two-year course focussed on singing, dance and acting
Tring Park's Musical Theatre Course provides Sixth Form students looking to forge a career in the performing arts with a strong understanding and knowledge of technique in the three essential specialist skills.
The course is both contemporary and realistic, giving students the best possible chance of success as a professional musical theatre performer.
Regular collaboration with leading industry practitioners inspires students and encourages fresh thinking, as well as providing links with the industry both during and beyond their training.
There's nothing like on-stage experience
Students from our Musical Theatre Course regularly take part in a programme of performances, workshops and master classes designed to build skills in every aspect of the profession.
Students on the course perform in Tring Park's Markova Theatre, as well as a variety of venues across London and the UK.
"The real shocker of this show is that it's performed by 17-18 year olds who are batting way above their weight in the talent department. The best compliment I can pay these guys is that I seriously thought I was watching a professional production until I read the programme after the show"
Pete Shaw Review of 'Have a Nice Life' at the Edinburgh Fringe
Musical Theatre Course students have also worked on musicals which are performed both at Tring Park's own Markova Theatre and at professional London theatres. Recent productions include Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, Crazy for You and The Drowsy Chaperone.
Setting you off on a great career
Tring Park's Musical Theatre Course also has an enviable track record in helping students to win prestigious, and very hard to achieve places on specialist further education courses. For example, students from the course have gained places with institutions such as Arts Ed, Guildford School of Acting, Mountview, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Guildhall, RADA, Bristol Old Vic, Bird College, Urdang and London Studio Centre.
The staff and teachers on Tring Park's Musical Theatre Course also have great links with agents. Students on the course are frequently signed to an agent before they even leave the school.
