Shakespeare’s most uproarious farce receives a music festival revamp: a madcap tale of two sets of identical twins, separated at birth and reunited by fate in a single chaotic, music-fuelled day.
When Antipholus and his servant Dromio arrive at “Ephesus ‘26” (the Music event of the year)— unknowingly residence to their long-lost twin siblings of the same names—mistaken identities spiral into a whirlwind of confusion, beatings, accusations of infidelity, and near-arrests. As the decks spin and the music pumps, wives embrace the wrong husbands, debts are paid to the wrong masters, and everyone questions their sanity as the mix-ups pile higher. A joyful romp through love, loyalty, and the absurdity of human error, this timeless comedy proves that sometimes finding yourself means losing yourself completely.
Please note that this is an outdoor event, held on the back lawn of the Mansion. Don’t forget to bring a chair and an umbrella in case of rain! BBQ food and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the performance. Except for assistance dogs, pets are not allowed on site.
