The Acting Course are delighted to present Public Enemy as part of the contemporary theatre festival 2023.
In her capacity as chief medical officer, Dr Stockman discovers that the water of a Norwegian Spa—which has long been promoted for its healing properties—is in fact, toxic. In an attempt to save the people, she sets out to share her findings and expose the truth. However, she soon comes to realise the consequences of her actions and that, instead of the gratitude and praise she expected, she becomes less a saviour and more ‘an enemy of the people’.
This performance will be showing on the 27th February at 7:30pm in the Markova Theatre at Tring Park School. The running time is approximately 140 minutes including a 20 minute interval. This performance may include strobe lighting and haze smoke.
PUBLIC ENEMY by Henrik Ibsen, translated by David Harrower. Directed by Tim Crowther. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Casarotto Ramsay & Associates.
