The Acting Course present William Shakespeare’s bawdy and much loved comedy – The Merry Wives of Windsor.
The Merry Wives of Windsor was first published in 1602 and is the only comedy that Shakespeare set in his home country of England. In need of money, the foolish Sir John Falstaff devises a scheme to seduce both Mistress Page and Mistress Ford and steal their husbands’ wealth. When the “merry wives” discover his plan however, they begin to plot their own revenge and decide to have a bit of fun of their own at Falstaff’s expense!
The Merry Wives of Windsor written by William Shakespeare. Directed by Louise Montes and Jane Verrall. The performance will last for around 2 hours and 20 minutes including an interval. BBQ and refreshments will be available to purchase throughout the performance. Please bring seating and umbrellas with you.
