This programme gives young male dancers an opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who show the same passion and drive in attaining a dance career in the future.
For ages 8-16.
The course runs for three Sundays a term and is designed for the male dancer with a focus on technique, physical strength training, creativity and performance. This is a supplementary course and should support external training.
Students receive three classes in each Sunday session. Classical Ballet technique, jazz/street technique and a variety class which will include contemporary, West End repertoire, drama and music. Seniors and invited intermediate dancers also receive a 45-minute training session including upper body training and stretching and fitness exercises.
Schedule 2022 – 2023
Classes take place from 11AM – 4:15PM. For younger students, it is a shorter day starting at 12:15PM and finishing at 4PM.
There is no funding available, although those who have attained the Paul Watson bursary are allowed to use their awarded funds toward KickStart fees. One term’s notice is required if the student wishes to leave the programme.

Applications are accepted throughout the school year. Students must complete a ‘Taster Day’. This consists of them taking part in a normal KickStart session for their suitability and level to be assessed.
