Tring Park Associates are seeking an experienced part-time Jazz Teacher who can deliver free (non-syllabus) jazz classes and who can choreograph for shows.

Tring Park School is one of the country’s leading vocational and academic schools, situated in glorious countryside just half an hour from London. Tring Park Associates is a program of after school and weekend classes open to children aged 3-19.

Successful candidates must have experience of working with children, teaching jazz and should ideally have a recognised dance teaching qualification. Classes run on a Saturday afternoon from 2:15pm – 5:30pm (back to back), current age range of pupils is 10-17 years.

  • Potential for Holiday Course employment during school holidays and half-terms.
  • Possible additional hours rehearsing for shows, performances and exam coaching.
  • Potential for additional private coaching.

Duties

  • Clear commitment to implementing whole school/staff policies relating to the safeguarding of children
  • To teach jazz classes from Junior to Senior level
  • To liaise with the head of TPA and other TPA staff as necessary
  • To choreograph for performances

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of teaching free jazz classes
  • Experience of choreographing for shows
  • Ability to commit to all required term dates

Desirable

  • Dance teaching qualification
  • Ability to assist with running performances
  • Ability to use an online platform for taking registers
