The school is looking to appoint an inspirational and well qualified/experienced Chemistry Teacher (with the opportunity to be Coordinator) to join our successful science department.

The successful candidate should have a genuine passion for science and the ability to convey this to pupils is essential. You will join a dedicated and supportive staff environment and will enjoy the use of specialist science labs and teaching equipment. A BSc in Science and PGCE is essential. The successful candidate will be required to teach across all key stages including A level.

* plus time allowance for coordination duties.

Main Duties

  • To teach chemistry across the age range, according to departmental planning schemes of work and examination syllabi.
  • To promote, monitor and support student learning and progress within the Science Department.
  • To contribute to the development of the curriculum and the department as a whole.
  • To uphold and follow the safeguarding practices of the school.
