Faustus - Drama Show

by Rupert Goold and Ben Power

after Christopher Marlowe

Directed by Dominic Yeates

Tuesday 12th - Friday 15th November at 7.30pm

Wertenberg, Germany, 1509. Faustus, doctor and scholar pledges to pursue the dark art of necromancy and vows to conjure the devil. Hoxton, London, 2001. Jake and Dinos Chapman, artists and provocateurs, prepare to break the ultimate taboo, by ‘rectifying’ a priceless set of etchings by Francisco Goya…

From the white boxes of Britart to the Gothic cathedrals of sixteenth-century Europe, from the Turner Prize ceremony to the lair of the seven deadly sins, Faustus and the Chapmans challenge the limits of life and art, risking everything in their pursuit of immorality.

A ‘radical…provocative…ingenious’ (Guardian) reworking of Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus

Tickets: £13 & £11 (concessions)
