Centre Stage School of the Arts Singapore
Centre Stage School of the Arts, Singapore, was founded in 1999 by Peter Hodgson and Alison Tompkins, based on the simple idea that creativity in children is important and the performing arts are of value to all.
‘We have had a long, happy and fertile relationship with Tring Park and are looking forward to rekindling this as soon as travel bans are lifted. Teachers from Tring Park School have travelled to Singapore to work with our students, presenting workshops and classes for enthusiastic young performers and our teachers too have travelled to the UK to do the same. We have also had a wonderful student share programme with a cohort of sixth formers touring two productions in Singapore and working within the sea gypsy community in Indonesia as guests of The Island Foundation, Bintan. In turn we have taken 15 young people for a week long, immersive course to experience life at Tring Park. We have also had some amazing dancers performing in our Christmas Panto as well as Head of Acting Ed Applewhite as The Dame!’
