We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Suppertime Supervisor to register pupils for supper, maintain standards of behaviour and dress, and supervise boarding pupils over suppertime.

About the role
*The contract is Monday – Friday from 5.45pm – 7.00pm during term time (Hourly paid).

Main Duties
Role-specific Responsibilities
- Taking the supper register.
- Supervising and managing the supper queue and pupil activities in the dining hall over supper.
- Monitoring eating habits of any pupils of concern.
- Reporting anything of note regarding pupil welfare and wellbeing to the houseparents.
- Issuing referrals if required for any poor behaviour, including the wearing of incorrect uniform.

Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail are essential. This is a pupil-facing role and can be quite time-pressured, so the ability to build a rapport with young people whilst remaining firm, fair and consistent is an advantage.
- Experience of working with children.
- Competent IT skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Adhere to all school safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Report any concerns regarding the welfare of pupils in accordance with school procedures.
- Participate in safeguarding training and professional development as required.
