Our Sixth Form Acting Course provides a unique opportunity to develop skills and techniques in a dynamic, exciting and professional environment.

The course is designed for pupils who are interested in theatre, film and TV acting in a variety of ways: as potential actors or singers or from a more technical or academic point of view.

What will I do in the audition?

Further details of what to prepare, wear and bring with you will be send out following completion of the online audition application.

  • Drama workshop/movement class.
  • Two contrasting drama pieces.
  • A short informal interview.
  • Academic assessment.

    • Application process

    All candidates are required to attend an entrance audition for the school. These are held in the autumn and spring term each year. Suitability for a place is determined on talent and potential shown at the time of audition.

    Final auditions take place in February or March of each year and successful candidates are offered places to start in the following September.

    Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is one of the nine specialist Music and Dance Schools in the UK, giving pupils on this course a fantastic music education. This course develops the essential components of the music industry. It is designed to offer appropriate training for those who have career aspirations in this area.

    The curriculum covers three broad interdisciplinary areas of learning: live performance skills, song writing and composition, and music production. Pupils on the course are taught by industry musicians, who are actively working in the business.

    2. Aural/theory assessments.
    3. A short informal interview.
    4. Academic assessment.
